Da Nang’s Tourism Logo and Slogan Design Contest 2013 opened on 13 July and closed a week ago.  Over the 4 months, the contest’s organisers received a total of 492 entries from 289 domestic and foreign contestants.  Among the contestants, there were 6 foreigners and 129 from Da Nang itself.

The organisers have now chosen the best 50 entries, which all depict typical characteristics of Da Nang.  The 10 best entries from the 50 will then go through to the final round of the competition and judging will take place from 7 December.  The entrant judged to have submitted the best logo and slogan will receive 30 million VND and a 5-day stay at a local 5-star resort.  If, however, the logo and slogan chosen are from different entrants, then 10 million VND of the winner’s prize will be given to the best slogan entrant.

The winning logo and slogan will be used to improve the advertising of the city’s image to visitors and businesses at home and abroad.   Three consolation prizes will also be awarded for other entries which have impressed the judges.  The awards ceremony will be held on 1 January 2014. 

In addition, the public are able to vote for their favourites from among the best 100 entries.  The entry receiving the highest number of public votes will be given a 2 million VND cash prize, a voucher for one night’s stay at a local 4-star hotel, and a pair of tickets for the Ba Na Cable Car.
