Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
Upon arrival in Ha Noi, you are met and transferred to your hotel, check in hotel. You then take your first journey into the wonders of Vietnamese cuisine at one of the city's great local restaurants. Enjoy a water puppet show in the late evening. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 2: Hanoi (B, L, D)
A full day city tour of Viet Nam's capital. Ha Noi is a city of lake, shaded boulevards, verdant public parks and French colonia architecture. The city tour includes such sight as President Ho Chi Minh’s, Temple of Literature, the lake of Restored Sword, The Huc Bridge, Ngoc Son Temple and the Old quater, free for shopping at Dong Xuan Market. Evening at your own exploration. Dinner and overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 3: Hanoi - Ha Long - Hanoi (B, L, D)
A drive via the Red River Delta takes you to the famous Ha Long Bay. On a boat cruise, you can see the magnificent scenery highlighted by many limestone islands jutting out of the water, visit Thien Cung Grotto, Dau Go (Driffwood) Cave and enjoy sample sea food lunch served on board. On the way return to Ha Noi, there is time for a call at Dong Trieu ceramic village famous for ceramic products, and see how villagers make their beautiful wares in traditional ways. Dinner and overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 4: Hanoi - Mai Chau - Hanoi (B, L, D)
8.00am Pick up at hotel in Hanoi, depart for Hoa Binh city towards to the North west of Hanoi, it takes about 2,5 hours to get to Mai Chau (140km). This is a beautiful valley which is the homeland of the Thai people, one of the largest ethnic minorities group in Vietnam. The trip is going through the green rice paddies, spectacular scenery of limestone mountain range in the North West of Vietnam. On arrival welcome drink with traditional Vietnamese known as green tea. Then enjoy lunch with local people at the traditional house on stilt of Thai. This is the best time to learn their culture.
After lunch, start to do easy trek around the Pomcoong village and Lac village to discover the Thai ethnic minorities. An interesting walking tour around the village will give you unforgettable memory on the trip especially when you stop at village school. Return to Hanoi at around 6.00pm. Dinner and overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 5: Hanoi - Hue (B, L, D)
After breakfast, transfer to Noi Bai Airport for flight to Hue. Pick up from Phu Bai Airport and transfer to hotel for check in. Lunch. Car and guide will take you to visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh Tomb, Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba market. Diner at the garden restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Hue.
Day 6: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An (B, L, D)
You travel by car over the Hai Van Pass amidst dramatic scenery, to the charming former trading port of Hoi An. Visit Cham Museum on route. Lunch. Visit Hoian Old Town: Phuoc Kien Pagoda, Japanese Bridge, Hoi An Museum, Tan Ky Old house, Cua Dai beach. Dinner and overnight in Hoi An.
Day 7: Hoi An - HCMC (B, L, D)
You will take the morning flight to Vietnam's commercial capital, Ho Chi Minh City - or Saigon as it's still known by locals. You begin with an orientation walk along Saigon’s historic boulevards, visiting some of the city’s most interesting sites: Presidential Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Sai Gon Post Office, a lacquerware factory and Thien Hau pagoda in the city's bustling Chinatown. You then travel to Cholon - the bustling Chinatown district - and the city’s largest market for a look at the diverse fresh vegetables, herbs, spices and tropical fruits that will be our daily fare during our time in Ho Chi Minh City. You also enjoy a tasty lunch of "Pho" noodle soup, which you'll find quite different from the Pho in the north. Dinner and overnight in HCMC.
Day 8: HCMC - Cu Chi - HCMC (B, L, D)
You take part in a cooking class with a celebrated local chef who will introduce you to the wonderful flavours of Vietnamese cuisine. This is a 'hands on' experience and, afterwards, you will have the opportunity to sample the delights you've created. The rest of the day is spent for traveling to the countryside and explore the unique Cu Chi tunnels, hideouts for the Viet Cong during Viet Nam - American war. Dinner and overnight in HCMC.
Day 9: HCMC - My Tho - HCMC (B, L, D)
A full day is spent exploring the bustling region of the Mekong Delta. A visit to My Tho is followed by an afternoon boat cruise on the Mekong river, visiting some small village industries. Here you have a chance to enjoy the source of a large amount of the country's fresh food. Dinner and overnight in HCMC.
Day 10: Departure (B)
Breakfast at hotel, free at leisure. Journey ends with your airport transfer.
