Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025 – The Golden Hue of Tam Coc – Trang An: When the Rice Season Becomes a Festival

From May 23 to 31, 2025, Ninh Binh Tourism Week with the theme “The Golden Hue of Tam Coc – Trang An” officially took place, coinciding with the peak of the ripened rice season along the Ngo Dong River. This was not just a cultural-tourism event but also a special occasion for visitors to admire the unique beauty of the “golden season” – a spectacle found only in Ninh Binh at the end of May.

The Golden Fields of Tam Coc – A Living Landscape Painting

During the ripened rice season, Tam Coc appears as if it’s cloaked in a golden silk robe, standing out amidst majestic limestone mountains and the poetic Ngo Dong River. This stunning natural scenery captivates visitors not only with its visual beauty but also with its tranquil, quintessentially Vietnamese atmosphere. Throughout the week, thousands of tourists from both within Vietnam and abroad flocked to admire, take photos, and experience the magic of this heritage land.

A Vivid Highlight: Trang An Forestival Music Festival

One unmissable highlight was the Trang An Forestival music festival, held on the evening of May 31 at the Dao Khe Coc area within Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex. Featuring renowned artists like Ha Anh Tuan, Den Vau, and Vu Cat Tuong, the concert was not only a musical feast but also a celebration of the harmony between nature, culture, and people.

A Rich Array of Cultural Activities

In addition to the main events, the Tourism Week offered a variety of engaging activities:

  • A grand opening ceremony featuring traditional arts from the ancient capital
  • A walking street and local product showcase including handicrafts and Ninh Binh specialties
  • A photography exhibition themed “The Golden Season of Tam Coc – Trang An”
  • Performances of traditional folk arts such as water puppetry, Cheo singing, and Xam singing
  • A culinary competition “The Quintessence of Ancient Capital Cuisine” with renowned chefs and signature local dishes
  • Tourism familiarization and press trips (FAMTRIP, PRESSTRIP) for travel agencies and journalists

Preserving and Promoting Cultural Heritage

Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025 not only served as a platform to boost local tourism but also reaffirmed the value of the Trang An Landscape Complex – a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage site. Through each activity, Ninh Binh conveyed a strong message: it is a safe, welcoming, and culturally rich destination, always ready to embrace visitors from near and far.
